Cupping
Cupping is a therapy that utilize cups to create a vacuum/suction that is placed on the body. You can think of cupping as a reverse massage. The therapy can produce surface level bruising, but it is painless and extremely effective in treating a variety of conditions.
Cupping is a traditional therapy used for over 2,500 years in many countries across the world. Cupping is still practiced today in over 60 countries for a variety of ailments and conditions. While the exact mechanisms as to how cupping works are still being researched, current theories believe that the suction force increases blood supply to the tissue by dilating local capillaries, which causes them to rupture, and promote lymphatic circulation.
